SAIC is looking to hire for a future opportunity as a Sr. AMAG Security Systems Technician in Tampa, FL to support USCENTCOM.  This position will maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot any issues with the security system at HQ USCENTCOM Tampa, FL.

 

Note: This position will be part time initially 10-20 hours per week to cover duties at SOCOM and CENTCOM while our team is OCONUS fulfilling mission needs. SAIC is looking to fill this position around January 2021. The candidate will have the opportunity for a full time position around May 2021.

  JOB DUTIES:
  • Provides support required for ancillary facilities modifications, yearly maintenance, inspections, trouble-shooting, and repair of Security Systems, Digital Video Surveillance Systems and various security related sensors and devices such as balanced magnetic switches, surveillance cameras and infrared motion detectors
  • Provides life cycle support, maintenance, upgrades and certification of electronic and physical security systems to include Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and barrier systems for various locations
  • The On-Site Technician will not enforce policy, but will be cognizant and report all security discrepancies and violations to the USCENTCOM Security Management Office (SMO)

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must have an Active DOD Top Secret/SCI Clearance in order to be considered
  • High School diploma and 4 years professional experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and 0 years’ experience required. 
  • Six (6) years electronic security system experience (preferred).
  • Able to maintain AMAG, Electronic Security System and troubleshoot false alarms associated with Motion Detectors, Access Card Readers and various other components of the AMAG security system
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms as needed to access equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all DoD stakeholders to provide dependable, professional support
  • Must be able to travel OCONUS 10% of the time approx. 2 times a year
  • Some computer knowledge (Excel and AMAG mostly)

 DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Electronics Tech background (desired)
  • Low/Voltage wiring experience (i.e. DC control circuits or PLC's) (desired)
  • Multi/Volt meter experience (desired)
  • Basic circuits knowledge (desired)
