Job Description


SAIC is seeking a qualified Sr Logistics Analyst to support the United States Transportation Command out of Scott AFB in IL.


You will provide analytical support at the United States Transportation Command.  This position uses advanced analytical techniques to examine issues surrounding cargo/passenger movement, delivery cost, and distribution operations.  In this role you will leverage commercial, defense, and academic expertise to solve Department of Defense logistics issues.  You will collect and analyzes Department of Defense and/or commercial business information to support deployment or distribution analysis.  You will utilize large volumes of data to determine current process, root cause findings, and recommends process re-engineering and closed loop corrective actions.  You will develop metrics to turn recommendations into action.  You will be responsible for presenting results to peers, others inside/outside the organization, and senior leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and application of supply chain management concepts and practices; Department of Defense experience preferred
  • Must be able to problem solving
  • You must have excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must have excellent Briefing Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; other analytical tool experience is a plus
  • Experience in USTRANSCOM Supply Systems, SMS, GATES, CAMPS, IGC is preferred


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain/logistics, or mathematics/engineering preferred; 6+ year Supply Chain Experience with at least 2 year supply chain management experience
