SAIC’s Data Scientist who provide efforts toward business analytics, metric collection, and analysis to address work force characteristics, workforce productivity and output, and value of reporting. The Data Scientist will establish working data sets, configurations, and implement design configurations for data sets while producing ad hoc reports/metrics.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Two (2) or more years of demonstrated experience in data science techniques
  • Demonstrated experience using the scripting language Python
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Excel for data manipulation, formulas, look ups, and pivot tables
  • Demonstrated experience with version control systems, such as Github
  • Demonstrated experience with diverse data types

Optional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Note that education can be substituted for years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with developing data visualizations
  • Demonstrated experience with creative problem solving skills to address procedural and administrative issues within the assigned problem set
  • Demonstrated experience with web analytics processing and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience translating complex, technical findings into a narrative (i.e., tell a story with the data) in graphical, verbal, or written form
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Amazon Web Servicers infrastructure and its native data science capabilities
