SAIC seeks an Applications Software Developer SME to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team, based in Chantilly, VA, working on a cutting edge program in support of national security objectives.The Developer excels at designing, building, and deploying highly scalable, resilient, performant services in an integrated team to continually improve DevOps posture. This position works with the current application teams to understand current analytics, review test plans, and collaborate with user interface designers to ensure developed software integrates seamlessly. Additionally, this position serves as an expert resource within the development team to determine the needs of the business that will simplify and automate the application services.


Required Qualifications: 

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or 6 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • 12+ years of experience with Java development to include: 
  • 5+ years of experience with UI frameworks (Angular or REACT) 
  • 5+ years of experience with distributed cross-platform applications, orchestration, and security 
  • 5+ years of experience of software quality process/assurance including automation testing, unit/integration testing, design/code review, code profiling and software continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines 
  • 5+ years of experience with relational, NoSQL and/or file based storage (e.g., MongoDB or MS SQL Server or Oracle or Postgres) 
  • 3+ years of experience in continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Git or Jenkins or Puppet or Chef) 
  • 3+ years of experience in Web server technologies (Tomcat or Web Logic or IIS or HttpCore) 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Amazon certifications 
  • Experience working in an Agile scrum teamwork environment
