Job Description: SAIC is hiring a Web Developer in Huntsville, AL to support a variety of exciting projects supporting the US Army. In this role you will dive into a new project converting the Joint All Hands Command Control Station (JACCS) application into a web interface for the customer. This will involve developing a WebSocket application from scratch. Your day‒to‒day will include coordination with fellow developers and testers as well as independent user interface design, implementation, and unit testing. Primary programming languages you will be working with will include TypeScript, as well as JavaScript, Semantic HTML, and CSS.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Write and maintain Web Applications in C# and TypeScript
  • Work independently on directed tasks with high-level goals
  • Communicate in a clear and straightforward manner with team members
  • Remediate existing issues and errors with applications
  • Develop new effective and efficient solutions for application design, architecture and testability
  • Understand and communicate modern web development practices
  • Up‒to‒date with the latest Web UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Participate in daily stand‒up

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related scientific discipline
  • 2+ years front end development experience with JavaScript, Semantic HTML, and CSS
  • Front End Software Development experience creating web applications in either TypeScript, Angular, Vue, and/or React
  • Experience working with Responsive Design
  • Experience with Git as version control
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Able to work in Linux and operating system
