SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious team member interested in joining our fast paced Operations Team in Reston, VA.  Analyst will directly support the Defense and Civilian Sector, a $4.8B organization with an $8B company.  The position will be at the sector level with access to executives that will provide a great foundation to grow across the company. 

This position supports the business and programmatic activities of the Defense and Civilian Sector, the largest at SAIC. This position is responsible for providing analytical and project management support in business and program planning, plan implementation, and operations improvement. An Operations Analyst is responsible for  identifying and solving issues relating to the performance of the business operations. To do so, vast amounts of data and information must be analyzed and reviewed with the cooperation of the program management personnel and contracts team. The analyst must be able to critically evaluate information from multiple sources and clearly indicate quality of final analysis. Communicate complex data in comprehensible ways. The business analyst  prepares for and conducts business process analysis, documents and presents analysis and modeling results, and transfers knowledge to application/database developers and project managers.

Common tasks:

  • Identify user needs from user requests and develop strategies by which to meet those needs
  • Communicate complex data in comprehensible ways
  • Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational or customer information needs
  • Analyze and report on complex data to meet customer needs


Required Qualifications

  • MBA degree and 0 years of related experience
  • Strong analytic and modeling skills with proficiency in MS office tool suite (Excel, Project, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources and clearly indicate quality of final analysis
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to build, manipulate, and operate MS Access Databases
