Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Transition Site Activation Systems Engineer to support the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team supporting government acquisition transitions at Schriever SFB.  The SE&I Team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to the acquisition Production and Enterprise Corps as well as the operational and support units at Schriever SFB.  The Team also provides systems engineering and analysis services to include system development, enterprise and system architecture, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities.
  • Conducts enterprise level systems engineering and integration processes to manage facilities and site activation for operational transition and fielding of multi-segment complex systems 
  • Performs systems engineering analyses, technical reviews, and assessments; coordinate analyses efforts, methods, and techniques; develop products and briefings; and perform technical engagement with, and briefings for and to, government customers, stakeholders, and developer 
  • Maintains the Site Activation Work Plans, Facilities Management Plans, and Communication/Network Plans
  • Develops detailed transition to operations execution plan (build-outs, long-haul communication requests, Comprehensive Cost and Requirements, etc.); collaborates with Civil Engineering and Communications organizations to obtain bids and coordinate Site Activation efforts
  • Provides technical leadership on-site at Schriever SFB; facilitates, oversees, and tracks development contractor and government progress for Site Activation activities; identifies and acquires GFE items for Schriever SFB installs.
  • Assists in Physical Security activities.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 9+ years of relevant experience
  • Current DoD Top Secret / SCI Eligible Clearance Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
  • Degree in STEM or technical area of study
  • Experience supporting DOD Accreditation processes
  • Experience managing operational transitions and fielding of complex systems 
  • USAF and/or USSF space system Operations & Maintenance experience

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
