SAIC is seeking a System Administrator to join the Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program in Panama City Beach, FL:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developer new Terraform and Ansible code towards automating system deployments
  • Manage and maintain deployments of various environments, consisting of both infrastructure and various software deployments, include operating systems and commercial software
  • Improve existing codebase to help automate and accelerate team velocity
  • Daily interactions with other engineers and developers to gain and expand your experience with developed platform
  • Expand and improve community knowledge to constantly improve environments through the use of multiple automated build interactions
  • Proactively take ownership in identifying, raising, and resolving issues or deficiencies you see as it relates to automation
  • Work closely with team leads to ensure our codebase is efficient, consistent and bug-free
  • Work closely with team leads to ensure environments are deployed, updated, and maintained through the production lifecycle
  • Establish system administration standards around supported systems and help develop/foster updated processes, procedures, and principles

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors and two (2) years or more related experience; Masters and zero (0) years related experience; four(4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge on Python, Ansible , Terraform and YAML
  • Strong technical analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and provide guidance to teammates
  • Understanding of scripting and automation skills converting manual and maintenance functions into fully orchestrated automation
  • Experience support and maintaining Windows Server and Linux operating systems, with a focus on Windows Server 2012-2019 and Redhad Linux (RHEL) 6-8
  • Experience with virtualization through the use of VMWare ESXi and related software
  • Experience with security processes common within DOD programs to understand and implement security technical implementation guidelines  (STIGs), to include report generation, mitigation, and implementing/developing resolution strategies
  • Understanding of DOD networking, to include common understanding of security boundaries between classified and unclassified networks
  • Updating and maintaining systems and environments through a patching process
  • Experience with Windows PowerShell and Linux command line interfaces (CLI)
  • Experience with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting

Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A minimum of an interim Secret clearance is required from day 1 

Required Certification:

CompTIA Security+ certification is required prior to first day of employment
