JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC has an opening for a Release Train Engineer to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train and Solution Train Establish and communicate the calendars for Iterations and Planning Increments (PIs). Facilitates the PI planning event, Summarizes Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives (the RTE) and publish for visibility and transparency.  Facilitate periodic synchronization events and escalate and track impediments. Qualifications: Ability to conduct independent research to lead or support the resolution of complex questions and issues. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5 years relevant experience. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. IMPACT: Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. LIASON: Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
