The Solutions Architect will serve as the Technical Director in the development of solutions to unusually complex challenges that require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation, and support collaboration across multiple SAIC business units to craft unique solutions to these customer challenges. The Solutions Architect will be expected to participate in customer meetings and brief SAIC's capabilities, as well as lead the technical solutioning process.  Leveraging their knowledge of the customer, the Solutions Architect will contribute to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and lead the development and implementation of complete technical solutions.  This role will be responsible for identifying and integrating technical capabilities and innovations to address customer needs, hot buttons, challenges, and requirements to help competitively position SAIC.  The Solutions Architect will be expected to identify the type and level of technical resources required; coordinate with team members providing technical leadership on solution development; and, lead as well as contribute to proposals as an author and reviewer. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or Physical Science required and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience
  • Desired: Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Science or similar fields and eight (8) years or more experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience supporting Navy C4I Engineering efforts and familiarity with how various technologies and processes, such as Digital Engineering, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Application Modernization, etc. are being implemented
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Lead System Engineer (or Deputy Lead System Engineer) role in support of a PEO C4I program office (PMW) or similar DoD organization, working on ACAT programs
  • Experience in technical leadership within a team of both government and industry in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and logical C4ISR solutions

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance

POSITION LOCATION:

  • San Diego, CA (currently telework) with ability to travel up to 15% (post-COVID), as needed, to support customer engagements, solution development, and proposal efforts.
