Job Description


SAIC is seeking a logistics analyst to support a program for the Space Missile and Systems Center (SMC). This position is in the warehouse and supports planning, developing and implementing processes to coordinate physical distribution, order fulfillment, inventory management and control, and contract management activities.  This position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The candidate selected for the position will:  
  • Perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems.
  • Control the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements
  • Develop production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production
  • Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans
  • Support program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, asset visibility, material management and supervision
  • Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; will work out of a central warehouse
  • Use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting
  • Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements
  • Support receiving, replacing, and retiring of HW and SW inventory and components
  • Apply processes in accordance with DoD, Air Force, Space Force and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), EGS government supply chain of custody, and property asset management requirements.


Qualifications – External
  • Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience. Will accept four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree, so minimum seven (7) years of experience.
  • Can start uncleared but must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Experience with common software and operating systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, but also in a team environment
  • Ability to follow procedures under stressful conditions
