Job Description


Works in concert with team leaders and members engaged in the analysis and study of complex

aviation technical and operational issues. Individually, or with team members, develops,

analyzes, evaluates and advises on methods and techniques to improve performance of the air

transportation system.  Based on study findings, prepares draft detailed recommendations on

methods, procedures to apply and alternative means to improve the air transportation system.

Utilizes and applies knowledge of web information technology and associated tools such as

adobe, sharepoint, etc. to provide an information format for Government and industry personnel and the general public.


Monitor NextGen and Equip 2020 inboxes for incoming requests to apply for or update

Update AFS- 400 Share Drive with, Part 91, 121, 129, 135 operators who have effectively complied with Exemption 12555 regulations

2. Gather contact information on CSMM for Excel spreadsheets ensuring compliance from air carriers.

Monitor the Performance Monitor for land to air miscommunications

Use of SPAS safety tool application in conjunction FAA share drive to enhance operator contact

Revise Call Sign Miss- Match (CSMM) data to fulfill FAA policy, regulations, and directives

Contact Part 91 operators referencing various non-conformance transponder issues with their aircraft

3. Made updates to APM extraction list for operators not in compliance with A005.

Use of the Performance Monitor and AFS Share Drive

Make use of Regulations. Gov and Equip 2020 inboxes


Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5 years of direct aviation experience concerning flight

operations and, as appropriate, experience as a pilot with a commercial or airline transport pilot

rating.  Bachelor’s Degree may be waived with 10 years of experience in performing the above


US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
