Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the Mine Warfare Department supporting the Mission Deployed Systems programs in Panama City Beach, FL

Job Responsibilities

  • Install software and redline software installation procedures, including participating in off-site fieldings installing and verifying software on fleeted equipment
  • Perform software checkouts and redline checkout procedures
  • Provide inputs to the schedule
  • Assist with software baseline audits
  • Assist with the development and/or review of software fielding plans and briefs
  • Enter software trouble tickets
  • Troubleshoot software issues
  • Develop software troubleshooting guides and procedures
  • Interface with fleet users in assisting with repairs and collecting data needed for troubleshooting and configuration management
  • Help develop and review software technical bulletins
  • Assist team with ensuring all software meets cyber compliance requirements


Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors and two (2) years or more related experience; Masters and zero (0) years related experience; four(4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

Required Skills:

  • Experience with systems administration using Windows 7 & 10 and Linux
  • Experiencing installing specialized software, performing vulnerability scans, patches and information assurance vulnerability management
  • Experiencing backing up, troubleshooting/restoring, and imaging stand-alone computing systems
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic understanding of Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Experience developing software user manuals, software installation procedures, and/or software test procedures using Microsoft Office products


US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A minimum of an interim Secret clearance is required to begin work. 

Required Certification:

Candidates must have a current Security+ certification
